Is there any way to cure a yeast infections without inserting things "up there"?

I’ve never had a yeast infection before, but am beginning to believe I do. I really don’t want OTC medicines…are there any natural remedies?

The diflucan pill is the fastest, easiest way to cure a yeast infection. but it’s not considered natural. it’s a drug prescribed by a doctor. Most home remedy’s require putting something up there because in order to cure the yeast infection the home remedy needs to get to where the infection is, and thats inside your vagina. Soaking in a warm bath with a cup of apple cider vinegar for 30 minutes helps a lot, and using natural, plain greek yogurt and putting it on a tampon and then inserting it inside you for a couple hours helps also. those are the two best natural remedies i’ve tried that work.

First of all, do some research to make sure this is what you have. If it’s itchy, really thick discharge, I would say yes. It is more common after taking antibiotics. Seriously, you will thank me if you try this, when you feel one coming on or you are on antibiotics, go to just about any store, you can get a herbal remedy (pill form) called acidophilus. It is a probiotic, also found in yogurt. When you have a yeast infection, it is an inbalance in the bacteria. just take a couple at a time, 2 to 3 times a day. if you are on antibiotics, you need to space them apart from them. I have been doing this for years.

There are of course, "home remedies", but none that work reliably or quickly. Plus the best of them would still need to get inserted where the source of the problem is. Otherwise, you don’t get to the root of the problem. Honestly, the best and easiest way is to use one of the over the counter products made for the purpose. If it’s not too bad, you can use a one day type treatment. I would recommend a three day treatment though, as it’s not quite as concentrated and isn’t as likely to cause a burn feeling. Unless you get to the source of the problem though, nothing is going to work. You see symptoms outside, but that’s not where it starts. You can still use something like diluted yogurt on the outside to help soothe skin. Eating it isn’t going to help though. In fact, nothing you eat is going to make a difference. Honestly, you would do best to steel yourself to doing what needs to be done, and use one of the over the counter preps as soon as you can get one. That’s the simplest and fastest way to get comfy again.

no theres no natural remedies, and iv never hear heard the pills working. whats wrong with putting it "up there" ? its not painful if that what your wondering, nor harmful, its fast, safe and effective. and you dent even need to see a doctor just go to wallgreens and get Monostat, and read the directions. it worked beautifully for me. oh and eating lots of yogurt and cutting back on suger will help a little bit

Your best bet is to get a prescription for fluconazole. The over the counter treatments (monistat, etc) are effective as well. Yogurt and acidophilus are helpful for maintaining the normal flora in your vagina to prevent infection, but they are not proven to be and effective treatment for getting rid of the infection. Some people say that the tampon + yogurt or other douche methods work, but this is not proven to be effective either. There are also a variety of herbal supplements (tea tree oil, gentian violet, boric acid) and baths that you can sit in, but again, these are not consistently proven to be effective.

The most reliable and quick way to get rid of the infection is definitely the prescription product fluconazole. The other remedies may work (I am not saying they won’t), but tests using the natural products and herbal treatments have returned varying results.
