Do I have a yeast infection?

I recently lost my virginity and have had sex multiple times since. Soon after, my vagina started itching and producing a not natural (white and cheesy looking, very gross) discharge. I believe I have a yeast infection from the friction, but I am also afraid I may have some sort of STD.

What are ways to cure a yeast infection? How do I know that this is a yeast infection and not something else? Obviously, this is something I should ask a doctor about, and I will if the problem persists, but I would like to know the public’s opinion. :)

Thank you!

    Different types of infections:

    Signs of yeast infections:
    White, cottage cheese-like discharge
Swelling and pain around the vulva
    Intense itching
Buy Monistat 7 over-the-counter at any drug or grocery store in the USA.

    Signs of bacterial vaginosis:
A white, gray or yellowish vaginal discharge
A fishy odor that is strongest after sex or after washing with soap
    Itching or burning
Slight redness and swelling of the vagina or vulva
    See a doctor

    Signs of trichomoniasis
A watery, yellowish or greenish bubbly discharge
    An unpleasant odor
    Pain and itching when urinating
    Most apparent after your period
    See a doctor

Unless of course it’s an STD. Good luck to you.

Most likely yeast. However you should not be having unprotected sex.
Another thing is that yeast can be sexually transmitted and many times people with it also have other infections. Some are not so quickly detected. See a gyn and get checked out quickly.
Chlamydia infections can do damage and go undetected for long periods of time so get a check up please, and stop engaging in risky behavior.
