(Yeast Infection) Monistat 1 Ovule Insert?

i have a yeast infection and it was already burning and irritated intensely , so on & so forth.

I used the day or nite Monistat 1 Ovule insert last night around 1 or 2am.. barely slept because it was burning a little. This morning around 630AM after my morning urinating, i wiped and saw the ovule liquid thing and then it started burning. i could barely sit still lol.

the burning has ceased. from a scale of 1-10 its at 2.. and it isnt my labia burning any more its just the vagina hole. i dont know if the burning stopped because im sitting still though..

I don’t know if the substance is still coming out, however, i looked in the mirror, and saw a little bit of the ovule seeping and it was chunky.. and the area inside of the labia minora is really red. is that normal?

when can i shower? im worried that if i shower, the substance wont heal my yeast infection.

also, how long does it take for all of the ovule to seep out?
will i get TSS?

I’m wearing a pad to protect my undies and i simply apply pressure to areas that are extremely itchy with the pad .. should i stop doing that?

and most of all.. HOW LONG DOES MONISTAT 1 TAKE TO CURE A YEAST INFECTION?!

how will i know that i am healed?

SORRY IF I WAS TOO GRAPHIC.

It takes longer than one day to clear up a yeast infection.

Some over the counter yeast treatments contain both an anti itch cream and vaginal suppositories. Apply the cream on the outside, and the suppository inside.

I tend to get the 3 or 7 day kits, as opposed to the one day kits, so that I will have a longer treatment.

You can shower now, and keep using the pad, which will absorb discharge and the excess medication.

If you are still having a lot of itching and discomfort in a couple of days, either repeat the treatment with OTC medicine, or make an appointment with your doctor. He can make sure that it is actually a yeast infection, rather than some other infection. Monistat and similar treatments won’t do anything for a bacterial infection, for instance, and the doctor can prescribe something that will work. Also, there’s an oral medication called Diflucan for yeast infections. You swallow one pill, or maybe two (depending on how bad your yeast is), and it clears up.
