Is yeast hard to get rid of?

I’m currently trying to get rid of this damn vaginal yeast infection (my gyno’s lab report says that I have a lot of candida). It’s persistent. I’m perfectly healthy overall, but I just can’t stand this. I feel restricted; I can’t swim, can’t do anything outdoorsy (I LOVE the outdoors), and it’s itchy! When I was born, I was told that I had oral thrush that took a hard time to get rid of. I don’t know if maybe my body has a hard time getting rid of it or what. Any help on what to do?
Yeah it get pretty bad when my doctor thought I had a UTI, but didn’t, and found out that it was yeast. That would explain the missing symptoms of frequency and urgency since there were none.

When you have too much yeast it is because your good bacteria is low and not fighting the yeast off. This can sometimes happen after using antibiotics, but can be for many reasons.

Besides using any prescription or over the counter medicine you can try probiotics. I use one called asodolpholis, you can find it at most drug stores in the vitamin section. If your situation is really bad you may wan to try several kinds of probiotics. You can find them at a health store. Yogurt also is a good source of probiotics, though you would have to eat a lot to get the amount you can get in pill form.

There are several things you can do. You can douche with vinegar. 2 tablespoons of white vinegar with 1 quart of water. Another way is to buy some plain unsweeten yogurt containing live cultures and apply it to your vaginal opening at bedtime or try eating yogurt everyday. Eating it once a day gives you a double benefit: It’s low-fat, high-protein, high in calcim food and the lactobaccilus acidophilus bateria it contains helps create a more normal bacteraial environment 8ozs a day.
Wear cotton underwear, keep the vagina area dry, wear loose fitting clothing, and lay off the sweets.
