You need to make an appt with your doctor. A yeast infection typically won’t last three months and you could have a bacterial infection (not STD related) that could get worse if left untreated. Make sure you are very specific when you talk to your doctor so that you get the right treatment.

As for your mom, I know that at times it doesn’t seem like you can talk to her about these types of things but remember that she was your age once and probably was scared to talk to her mom about them too. Try talking to her, she might surprise you. She is probably waiting for you to open up to her.

You really need to make an appointment with your ob/gyn. This could be several issues, given your general description. The mostly likely culprits are yeast infection or bacterial vaginosis. However, even if you do have a yeast infection, you should not try and treat it over the counter if this is your first episode; check with your doctor to be sure you are actually treating the correct infection!

You can get a yeast infection otherwise known as thrush if you are a virgin as it is an imbalance of sorts. Best way to fix it is to go to your local pharmacy and get a thursh cream. You have to apply daily for 7 days and it clears it up for good. There are tonnes of brands out there and most are good.

It could be. For the first time having one, it’s usuallly recommended to go to the dr. for it. It would be bad if you treated yourself for a yeast infection, and it ended up being a bacterial infection. If you’re not comfortable telling mom, maybe a friend could drive you to the health department for an exam? Most of them have free clinics, especially for women and teens. It shouldn’t cost anything either, usually based on your income.

Check out this site dear. It might help you. There are several home remedies as well as over the counter tips. However, it would be best to know if it is really a yeast infection so it is always advisable to have a chat with your school nurse or doctor (since you said you don’t want to talk about with your mom, which should have been your first option).

the yoghurt cure is natural unflavoured yoghurt containing live cultures applied to a tampon and inserted.

If you have already tried treatments from the pharmacy you should contact your doctor for a check up, you could have a bacterial infection (there need not have been any sexual activity)

Honestly, you’re meant to see a doctor when you have a yeast infection (especially the first time you have one to make sure that’s really what it is) but whatever it is you’re probably not going to die from it. Forget about this yogurt crap, they have lots of treatments you can buy at the drug store. There are three day and even one day treatments, but for a yeast infection that keeps comming back you need the SEVEN day treatment. Use it exactly as the instructions say, then if it still hasn’t gone away see a doc, no big deal.

Is there a reason you can’t discuss it with your mom? It may be partially due to the diet and amount of sugars etc. Since it doesn’t involve sexual activity your mom shouldn’t be upset by it.

There are natural remedies but it’s good to read up on them to see how to combine probiotics, antifungals and other supplements for an effective program.

What you really should do is go to a Dr. to find out if it really is a yeast infection or something else so you can be treated for the right thing instead of guessing what you might have. You should never try to self-diagnose yourself or go to a website to find the answer.

You can get a natural remedy called Acidophilus. You can find it at any health food store or even the pharmacy may have it. I have used it with success before. If it doesn’t go away, please suck it up and tell you mom, so you can get it checked out. The yogurt thing may also work, it has to have active cultures in it.

TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR OWN BODY, GIRL!
It does sound to me like you have a yeast infection. You do not need to see a doctor.***(see note below)

If you do not have a yeast infection and you use natural remedies, there is no harm. That may not be said of prescription/over-the-counter meds that have all kinds of chemicals in them (I used to be in pharmacy). Now I have educated myself in the use of herbs-which God gave us for food and healing. I might go to the doctor to find out what I have-but then I treat it myself with herbs. I put that little prescription in a safe place "just in case," but we rarely have to go to the doctor.

Here are some natural remedies that are known to treat yeast infections.

GARLIC Douche: Blend 1 or 2 cloves of garlic in blender with 1 cup water. Strain and add enough water to make 1 quart of solution. Douche as usual.
Garlic Vaginal Suppository: insert a garlic CAPSULE (not tablet, not caplet) into vagina at night. The gelatin coating will dissolve and disperse the garlic. (You think this is rough, but I’ve heard of some people putting a peeled clove of garlic in there—–)
ACIDOLPHILUS Douche or capsule inserted at night (can get capsules at Walmart and other drug stores)
    COMFREY Tea Douche
Hydrogen Peroxide Douche – Hydrogen Peroxide is produced naturally by bacteria in your vagina and kills yeast. If the bacteria aren’t doing enough by themselves, try mixing 1 teaspoon of ordinary 3% hydrogen peroxide from your market or pharmacy with 1 cup of water. Use as a douche once a day until the day after your symptoms disappear.
**Note: I do not recommend douching on a regular basis-only when there is a medical need. Caution should be taken when douching. Keep the bag below your pelvis and exert only slight pressure, as really strong pressure might drive the solution up through the cervix into the uterus. Likewise, be careful when inserting and removing the nozzle, as damage to the vaginal walls can lead to more serious yeast or bacterial infections.
APPLE CIDER BATH- Sit in a tub of water with Apple Cider Vinegar poured in it. This one is good, too, for children who get yeast from antibiotics. Do this for 10-15 minutes daily. Twice a day if possible. Sitting longer will not hurt-it’s natural.

    *A note about GARLIC
Penicillin has one chemical constituent and that is Penicillin. Garlic has at least 35 constituents. They "potentiate, enhance, and mitigate each other’s effects inside the human body." That’s like taking 35 medications in one! Learn more about garlic here: http://www.bulkherbstore.com/GM

*Continue to eat yogurt to replace the good bacteria.
*Sugar can feed yeast, so you may want to monitor your sugar intake as well.
*You asked for natural remedies and here they are. Yeast infections are not pretty and neither is the cure. Unless you want to go to the doctor and get a man-made cream. But I have given you plenty of options for natural treatments-surely you can find one. I personally have never had a yeast infection, but I would do the garlic douche (or suppository) if I did. I really believe in garlic as a natural antibiotic. I have used garlic oil to treat thrush (yeast) in my daughter’s mouths. It works!

***If you attempt to treat this condition at home for a few days and do not see any results, then you should go to a doctor to find out what it is. And if you want something natural for that, I can help you find the remedy. Just EMAIL ME if you are interested. And just for the record, if my doctor told me I had bacterial vaginosis, I would go home and use the garlic. I’m telling you it kills bacteria like you wouldn’t believe.

AND everybody who thinks we’re crazy for not wanting to take our problems to the doctor needs to visit this website. http://www.msu.edu/user/eisthen/yeast/
    Thank you.
