Talk to your mom, it’s nothing to be embarrassed about, all women have yeast in their vagina, when your body produces too much it causes an infection…have her buy over the counter monistat 3 day suppository medication.
You don’t need to go to the doctor…all girls should go once a year to a gynecologist when they become sexually active.

Yes definitely tell your mother and go to the doctor.

Yeast infections are extremely common but need to be diagnosed by your doctor if this is your first one.

Once you get some over the counter monistat you will start to feel better.

You should be able to tell your mom. She will be able to help you find a product at the drug store to help, like Monostat. Yeast infections are not STD’s but are caused by bacterial growth. You can get a yeast infection from taking long bubble baths or not drying properly after showering. It’s when there is dampness and darkness. You should NOT let it go. It will get much worse and could lead to a terrible infection. Best to take care of it with the first signs. Good luck.

well its not a life and death issue but it would sure be helpfull to see a doctor. i have had that experience before so i know how irritating and depressing it could be. i was given fungal creams and inserts to deal with it and it sure got better. the best thing you should do is tell your mum and see a doctor.

if this is the first time you’ve experienced these symptoms i would say ask mom to make a you doctor appointment.

your young, and i know if you’ve never seen a doctor about something like this, you may be a little nervous. dont worry! it happens to all women at some time or another.

    for future reference…

-avoid tight pants, shorts, and underwear, and any clothing that rides up the crotch. ( thongs, and some boycut shorts)
-cotton is always best for panties.
-if you wear panty liners change them often.
( yeast likes a warm, moist environment)
    -don’t douch!

there are a few other things that mom and the doctor may reccomend also. just listen to them and you’ll be back to comfort in no time!

Noo don’t just ‘live with it’! it won’t go away by itself! it does sound like thrush (a yeast infection) which can be cleared up quite easily with some cream, you can get from teh chemisy. But considering your age and teh fact you havnt had it before it would be best to go to the Doc’s just so that they can confirm it is thrush. Also important to go to the Drs if you are sexually active as it could be something else.

Do both! Tell Mom and go see your doctor. This site too: http://www.cure-yeast-infectionz.com/ could be of some help as it offers information on natural permanent cure to yeast infection
