No. Penicillin is for bacteria, not fungi. Yeast, candida in this case, is a type of fungus. You would need an anti-fungal drug for that.

No, you need to get medication that specially formulated for that such as Monistat 1, 3 or 7- day treatments or some other brand that treats this condition.

i don’t know about penincilin i do not like antibiotics and don’t use them i use home remedies and this is what worked for me. Use garlic pearls srink them and squeeze fresh garlic dilute with olive oil and paint the affected area it will slightly burn for a second but will cure that yeast infection almost immediately so dont worry about the medical gimmicks just use simple garlic from your kitchen cupboard and purchase a bottle of garlic pearls or odourless garlic capsules and drink them every day until the bottle is empty this is a sure cure

Antibiotics, like penicillin etc. are one cause of yeast infection.

When you take them they can kill the natural bacteria that would kill the yeast infection in ordinary circumstances.

Your doctor can give you two pills that will cure it or you can buy, over the counter med for it.

One is Monostat and is sold in the personal hygiene section in the pharmacy dept. It gives relief from itching with in a very short time.

Ask the pharmacist, he will gladly help you.

Diabetics are also pron to yeast infection.

I always keep one on hand

I always take one with me when I go on vacation.

I read one of your answers. I certainly wouldin’t advise you to insert garlic. She must have had what is called thrush or a surface yeast infection.

No, penicillin is for treating bacterial infections. Antibiotics like penicillin can cause yeast infections as one of the other posters said. When drs treat yeast infections they use anti-fungal medications like Diflucan and Nystatin and Terazol. If you suspect that you might have a yeast infection please see your dr to have them check to see if you have one before trying to self treat.
