If the yeast infection is just a minor imbalance your body may sometimes correct it and it will go away on it's own, but if you are taking antibiotics for something it is important with antibiotics to take it the full prescribed time. Yes there are natural things you can do to help. You can help prevent a yeast infection with natural treatments while on antibiotics as well. Eating yogurt or taking probiotics orally or vaginally or both during antibiotics can help prevent infection while taking antibiotics. If you are prone to them this is a very good idea.

Look at the links I included below. The first link under sources is an article, it will help you understand what happens causing vaginal infections and what can help. The next one is a study that was done showing that vaginal probiotics help with vaginal infections. And the next two are links to a couple products. I personally have used the Probiostat from Lorna Vanderhaeghe's line of products and found it worked well for me. You can also take probiotics internally to help from the inside as well. You can also do things like take organic Oregano oil. For Oregano Oil you put drops under the tongue and hold it there as long as you can (it may have a burning sensation) and then swallow, follow with some water if needed. The higher the concentration the better. Oregano oil stimulates the immune system, is anti-viral, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial. When taking oregano oil it is a good idea to take probiotics orally apart from them (eg. oregano oil in the morning and probitics at night). You can also take Colloidal Silver internally as well. It can also be used vaginally for infections followed later in the day by vaginal probiotics, do the Colloidal Silver in the morning (using something that can get it high up vaginally, ...douche applicator) and the probiotics at night right before bed. You can use the Colloidal Silver other times during the day as well, just separate it by a few (5) hours from the probiotics so it doesn't just kill the healthy bacteria of the probiotics. Colloidal Silver has lots of applications, see the links below for some info. Regular douching is not recommended as the normal solution can wash out the healthy bacteria, but using the applicator to administer a treatment can be helpful and should be followed with vaginal probiotics to replenish the healthy bacteria.

Basically you need to kill the infection somehow, but you also need to replenish the healthy bacteria and PH balance to maintain vaginal health. The PH of the vagina needs to be slightly acidic (3.8 to 4.5) for a healthy environment anything outside of that in either direction on the scale allows for infection.

Best of luck, if you have further questions feel free to email me :)

First, you should determine whether you have it or not. Your vaginal discharge must be examined for Candida by a physician. If it is positive, then should follow the link below for a natural and permanent cure for yeast infection.

It actually won't hurt you to use the monostat if you don't have one, I think that they just post that on the package for liability reasons and because they know that signs of a yeast infection can actually be an STD.

I think that this article that I wrote will help you with some natural cures. I hope that you get to feeling better soon.
