See your doctor, I've had plenty of yeast infections before and been on antibiotics and gels. I'm a pharmacy technician and I've never heard of an "external" yeast infection. The best thing to do when treating a yeast infection is to insert the cream and also put some on the outside so this doesn't happen. You might still have some of the fungus in your vagina so I would recommend going out and buying the cream medication, not the suppositories and applying it a couple times a day externally and then at night into the vagina also.
