Yes, you can get a yeast infection from sexual contact with a woman who has a vaginal yeast infection. The same yeast that causes vaginal infections in women can cause infections of the penis in men. However, just because your girlfriend has a genital yeast infection doesn’t mean you’ll get one.

Signs and symptoms of a male yeast infection include a red rash, itching or burning at the tip of your penis. Fortunately, most male yeast infections are easily treated with over-the-counter antifungal treatments, such as Monistat.

To treat a male yeast infection, apply the medication directly to the affected skin twice daily for a week. If the rash doesn’t go away or if it recurs frequently, consult your doctor. Persistent or recurrent yeast infections can be associated with other medical conditions such as diabetes.

When one partner has a genital yeast infection, it’s important for both partners to get treatment. Your girlfriend could infect you, treat her own infection and then get reinfected by having sex with you again. For this reason, it’s generally recommended that you refrain from sexual intercourse until all signs and symptoms of the infection are gone.

A man cannot get a yeast infection in the same way that a woman does in her vagina. Yeast infections can happen in other places on your skin, however. If you have sex with a woman who has vaginitis you can become irritated around your genitals from her discharge.

Try a personal lubricant on your penis. I think vaseline would be okay just don’t get it in your urethra.

Sounds more like eczema… but if your skin has trouble healing, (do you get spots too? especially after sun damage/shaving?) then you might lack zinc. Try a zinc supplement, 15mg – 20mg per day and you should start seeing positive changes in a week.

Check ‘zinc deficiency’ on google for a list of symptoms.
But yes, men can get yeast infections. If that were the case, simple tea tree essential oil would help.

Can also be a reaction to a particular soap/fabric softener/creme,fabric…

yes you can,and if u have dry skin already then the heat builds up the bacteria with then grow and iritate the skin more.ask for a cream at the chemist, then wear loose underwear and trousers (cotton underwear too as its breathable and drys quick when hot and damp) the loose clothing will help the heat from building n therefore the bacteria from breeding.also when showering or bathing no soaps in that area dotors say water is sufice for washing there soap is an iritance and wont help with the dry skin

Yes, a man can get yeast infections. Yeast is a natural bacteria in a woman’s vagina and it wards of more harmful bacteria. The cause of the infection is the out-of-control growth of this bacteria, which can be caused by friction and heat from sex, pH imbalance, vigorous exercise. The yeast can then be transmitted from her to you during sex. Its not as common as you may think but it does happen. There is a pill called Diflucan that you can get from your doctor to cure the infection. It’s a single dose and works great. If you get the yeast on the outside of the penis on the skin, use a mixture of vinegar and water. The acidity of the vinegar kills the yeast. My dog gets yeast around his neck and that’s what we use. It works on humans as well. As far as the dry skin, I like Eucerin lotion. It’s specially made for people with eczema, psoriasis, or extremely dry skin. It hydrates the skin and has no colors or fragrance.

Yes…especially the hands. Try Triple Antibiotic Ointment daily then use Zinc Oxide Cream…both are OTC. Hope this helps! :O)
