yeast infections for months on and off?

I think Ive been having one on and off.I take monistat but it hasent helped.Thats the medicine the doc reccommend but it seems I just keep getting one which I believe has something to do with the pregnancy. It hurts so bad at the door when my man and I try to get intimate. It gets frustrating because we dont end up doing it because it hurts so bad.Maybe its not a yeast infection??

There are three suggestions. You may want to consult with your doctor first esp if you are pregnant. I know that drinking plenty of 100% cranberry juice can help with cutting down on yeast infections. The second thing to try, an over the counter pill called acidophiles. You can buy it at the pharmacy or grocery store. You can take it once, daily. Remember, if your pregnant, ask your doctor first if this is ok for you so you want hurt the baby. The spelling my be incorrect. This product can also be found in yogurt. This acts as a good bacteria in our body to fight off bad bacteria that we don’t need such as yeast infections. Or, just start eatting plenty of yogurt.

You need to go see a doc for a proper diagnosis. Also has your husband been treated? If not he most likely is passing it back and forth to you.

if you have a thick yellow discharge and a funny odor and soreness it’s probably a yeast infection and sometimes you need something stronger than monistat..if i was you i would try monistat again and while im taking it wear loose fitting bottoms(no tight jeans/shorts) for about a week because any type of warmth down there can cause the yeast to grow and it will never go away and also watch what type of soap you wash with down there, scented soaps and body washes can cause a yeast infection too..its best to wash down there with dove unscented soap while takin the monistat and eat lots of yogart, the yogart helps fight off the yeast…hope this helps..if not go back to the doc

Has your doc confirmed that it’s a yeast infection? If he has, has he seen you again, since this is reoccuring? You need to find out whats going on, especially if your pregnant. If your doctor just cant/wont fit you in in 1 week or less, you need a new doc.

Yes that is very probable. The only one who can diagnose it is YOUR DOCTOR. You need to be telling him what isn’t working. Yours and your man’s pleasure aren’t the only things that are on the line there is the child if your still pregnant. If your not pregnant any more the could be tissue inside of you still. Either way, How would like a lifetime of problems?……

Some people are more prone to yeast infections especially when pregnant. When I had this problem I too found it very painfull when trying to be intamate and the monostat did not work until,I tried some home remedies with it. I ate lots of yoghurt with active bacterial culture and foods with lots of garlic. The garlic seems to help kill off the infection and the good bacteria in yoghurt helps get your body back to normal. Also as gross as it may sound if you are in great discomfort down there try putting plain yoghurt on your skin down there it has an immediate soothing effect. I hope you are better soon.

Hi, See a doctor A.S.A.P. Specially if you are pregnancy. This is nothing to mess around with. If you are uncomforable with your doctor see another doctor. See if your husband should see a doctor just in case there is something wrong and he will need treatment also. Be careful and safe. See a doctor A.S.A.P.
