This isn’t a straightforward yes, actually. A yeast infection isn’t an infection in the traditional sense and is in fact an overgrowth of normal fungus that exists in the vagina at all times anyway. This means that, in theory, sexual intercourse can pass spores to a penis BUT they can’t thrive there as it’s not hot and moist like a vagina. It won’t be obvious it he does end up with a slight case and he can, again in theory, keep throwing your system out of balance every time you have (non-condom) sex and you can get re-occurring infections. You can either:
1. buy a general anti-fungal cream at the same time as your treatment and get him to rub it on (usually 2-3 times a day for a week).
2. Treat yourself and if it doesn’t reoccur after having sex then all good.
3. Remember that the body is working to re balance itself by itself, mild to moderate cases it can usually fix without creams or tablets anyway. You can help by avoiding drugs, alcohol, sugars and preservatives and upping the water and acidophilus supplements.
of course -get it treated and always use a condom.
