Is there a natural chlamydia treatment?

I dont want answers that say just suck it up and take antibiotics, PLEASE. Thanks.

I don’t take pills, I haven’t in 4 years. I really strongly believe that anti-biotics aren’t the way to go for many reasons:
1- They kill the bad bacteria, but they destroy the good too
2- weakens the immune system, which isn’t great during the flu season
3- Produces a yeast infection after, which isn’t that fun to deal with.. then I’d have to either get more antibiotics or an over the counter treatment.
4- They are bad on the stomach.

Theres just many reasons I don’t think anti biotics are great, and I’m on the hunt to find a natural treatment for chlamydia. Please, if you know anything help.

Its a bacteria, and so is a yeast infection. Why can a yeast infection be cured over the counter but chlamydia can’t?

Any feedback, except saying to just take the damn pills, are welcome.
I don’t trust my doctor anymore. I told him months ago the symptoms I was having, and he said it was a yeast infection. I asked if he could do a test or look at it at least and he said no, it would be fine. The only reason i found out is becuase I went for my annual. If my doctor would of checked it out months and months ago, I wouldn’t have to worry about being infertile and having PID.

You’re asking a question but you don’t want an answer? I suppose you don’t want to hear "No, there’s no so-called ‘natural’ treatment for chlamydia" ? Sorry but there’s plenty of things we don’t want to hear in life: You’ll get old, one day you and everyone you love will die etc. Your reasons for not wanting to take antibiotics are ALL wrong:

1- good/bad bacteria. Your system will handle a few depleted good bacterias, just like it does when you kill them off by eating junk food once in a while.

2- Immune system weakness is utterly trivial compare to the real and immediate risks you have from chlamydia

3- Yeast infection? Where did you read that rubbish, of course it doesn’t!

4- Yukky stomach? Unlikely but IF it does it’ll be for a very short spell and again is trivial compared to infertility and PID.

Yeast infection is cured using antifungals which are not regulated as much as antibiotics. If you’re not happy with your doctor, then see someone else. Not trusting all doctors because you weren’t happy with one is a bit crazy.

Taking low-level antibiotics once, now, is far easier than, say, being admitted to hospital with PID, having VERY strong antibiotics administered through a drip in your arm, 24 hours a day for a week to save your life, then to be told you’re infertile.

‘Natural’ medicine works on imagined conditions or other situations where people are a bit gullible, feel a bit ‘off’ and would get better anyway. Chlamydia is a real disease and trying to use imaginary cures clearly is madness.

Antibiotics save millions of lives every day, ‘natural’ cures are used by scammers to take money from the deluded and disillusioned and can cost you your life.

Edit: Of all the things you should never use is homeopathy! Red Riding Hood has just been lucky in that her body has sorted itself out, placebos DO NOT work on real physical conditions! This is the danger with alt med, people take a fake cure, their body heals naturally, then they think it’s because of the fake cure! You do NOT have the luxury of taking your time over this treatment, get yourself seen to asap!

I went through the same treatment by my Allopathic Doctor when I had a tumorous ovary, my doctor wanted me to have it surgically removed (and be sterile for all my life), I was browsing Y!A and I came upon a question and the answerer had suggested Homeopathic medicine a list of them according to symptoms out of curiosity rather then any faith in Homeopathy I read the answer and contacted the person, he suggested a remedy named Apis Mel 30 I started taking it and the relief was almost instant it not only brought me relief from the pain and the discomfort it cured me in less then 2 weeks, most ignorant people here on Y!A will call it Placebo, I never believed that it will cure me being totally skeptical about Homeopathy but still it work wonders. My Allopathic specialist says some sort of a miracle cured me it wasn’t homeopathy. :-) I never went back to him again.

I would suggest you visit a homeopathic doctor and only they know how to cure you without any harmful effects. Oops forgot to mention the Homeopath who treated me is Soul Doctor on this very forum ask him about it and I am sure he will be able to guide you . Just send him your complete symptoms not just the name of your ailment, they don’t treat the disease they treat the whole patient. Best of luck Hon, and get well soon.

I read the answers here and agree to some extent with nearly all the good ones.

I tell you what to do. Increase your immunity naturally and save your guts by taking Probiotic supplement (containing Lactobacillus acidophilus), 5 - 10 billion CFUs (colony forming units) a day, for maintenance of gastrointestinal and immune health when on antibiotics especially and otherwise also.

Antibiotic drugs such as azithromycin and doxycycline are commonly used to treat the symptoms of chlamydia. Completing the course of antibiotics is important for treatment to be effective. Practice safe sex by always using condoms, go for regular gynecological check-ups if you ‘are sexually active, get tested regularly for chlamydia and other STD’s, refrain from sexual activity or be faithful to one partner to prevent your chance of developing this disease.

Certain herbal remedies have proven to be highly effective in supporting conventional medical treatments to fight off infection and boost the immune system. Herbal remedies are safe to use, non-addictive and address overall health and wellbeing.

Carefully selected herbs such as Hypoxis Rooperi (extract of African Potato), Agathosma Betulina (buchu), Mentha Piperita and Solidago Virgaurea (also known as Goldenrod) promote the healthy functioning of the immune system and strengthen the natural protective ability of the body to fight infection. In addition, Viscum Album, Crataegus Oxyacanthoides, Schizandra Sinesis, Astralagus Membranaceus and Olea Europea (extract of olive leaf) act as a natural rejuvenating and supportive tonic.
