Why is it that you can have certain liquors (i.e. tequila) on a gluten free diet but not on a candida diet?

I’m 99% positive I have a candida problem and am going to stick to the diet for a month or so to see if it works. According to things I read I can’t have any alcohol period, but with a gluten-free diet (which avoids yeast) you can drink certain liquors, like tequila…

    First of all, a gluten free diet does not avoid yeast– it avoids gluten which is a protein in wheat, rye and barley. There isn’t any gluten in tequila.
