Yellow discharge, itchiness, not yeast or bv?

Hi ppl, thanks for reading. I’ve been having a mucus-like discharge for a few years now. It’s yellow all the time and profuse enough to make me wear pantyliners everyday. No smell. Intercourse hurts. I was treated twice for yeast infection but didn’t work. My GP did a pap smear last October but results said there was no Candida (yeast overgrowth) & bacteria flora was normal. It did say there were abundant leukocytes consistent with an inflammatory exudate (white blood cells). Tested for Chlymedia-negative. A recent scan also showed no signs of growth (endo) & dr said my ovaries look normal. The gynae I went to last week thinks it’s BV & treated me with Tioconazole cream & Neo-Penotran pessaries but I feel it’s not working. On top of that I’ve been having a terrible itch for a month around the vulval area that feels like psoriasis. Got a follow up appointment tomorrow but I had to ask cos I’m lost as to how to what’s making my life miserable.
Well well well…Lab results tested positive for candida albicans this time. My doctor was surprised the metrinazole pessaries she prescribed with one dosage of Diflucan didn’t work. She put me on antibiotics this time with Diflucan (again) & Albothyl pessaries. I’ve been looking at anti-candida diets online so I’m gonna try that as well..hope it works…thanks everyone for your help.

Why are you asking us when you have an appointment tomorrow? Just be patient and see what your doctor says.

try taking AZO brand cranberry pills, really good for the tract area for women plus vitamin C, which helps fight off bacteria and helps boost the immune system

if it has no smell then it might not be anything, yeast infections BV usually smell, but see your doctor and see whats going on, you might just have an allergy to your underware, panty liner or the type of soap you use.

Could you be having an allergic reaction to something? Like maybe latex or your partner’s semen or the laundry detergent you wash your panties with?

Could be vaginitis> caused by many types of organisms. Itching or burning sensation in the vagina. Especially during intercourse or peeing. Yellow discharge. Can be caused by some soaps, perfumed soaps, rubber the condom is made of. Change these and see what happens.
See another doctor for second opinion:
If you are diabetic that could a problem too.
My advice is you should get checked again.

I have exactly the same problem. I have also been to the GP who did STI check & smear test and all came back normal. Discharge can be clear or white/light yellow but dries a slightly darker yellow/green. Smells slightly vinegary. I’d be really interested in hearing what your doctor says next. I heard that it coud be an allergy from something including washing powder or even wheat but it’s hard to eliminate everything! I’d be really grateful if you hear anything that helps – and I’ll do the same. I know how you feel!
